Gradwohl Bakery
Overview
The bakery Gradwohl is a traditional bakery from the Mittelburgenland. Meanwhile, the business is already in the third generation. Since its founding in 1959, the focus has been on honest, down-to-earth quality. The bakery is especially known for its whole grain products and natural ingredients. The consistent path of whole-grain products led to a considerable customer base with branches in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland.
Due to the successful history, Gradwohl developed a loyal customer base that has enjoyed whole-grain baked goods for many years. But at the same time, there was an untapped potential of new customers. The challenge was to increase the comparatively low awareness among new customers and activate the potential. Consequently, we planned a new marketing concept from scratch, which is now also being systematically implemented.

First, it was necessary to create a strategic foundation. Together with the client, we spent 2 months developing a brand strategy that defines Gradwohl as a company.
Brand Strategy
The bakery Gradwohl wants to convince its customers with wholesome baked goods that enjoyment and healthy nutrition can be combined. The long tradition and down-to-earth work create a deep trust in their products. At Gradwohl, customers can enjoy whole grain products with a clear conscience and start the day with full energy.
Visual Identity
The visual identity conveys the rich tradition and down-to-earth attitude. The logo as a signature shows that Gradwohl stands 100% behind its products with its name. The graphic style embodies the brand idea with its natural shapes. The design with its colors and matching fonts gives us a feeling of well-being.
Corporate Website
Gradwohl commissioned us to redesign its current website, whereby integration into the existing brand strategy was of central importance. This is particularly true for the corporate website. Here, it is crucial that the web design fits seamlessly into the visual identity.
Online Store
In the next step, we created a new online store for the bakery so that the digital shopping experience would do justice to Gradwohl’s quality. We first determined the user needs and developed an effective user flow. E.g., the user account was redesigned and the ingredient filter was made more intuitive. In addition to the functions, integration into the visual identity played an important role. The ideal interplay of UX and UI design led to this outstanding result.
Content Marketing
Gradwohl has around 2,400 interactions with customers every day. Thus, there is enormous potential to build a close relationship with its customers. With the content strategy, we developed ways to provide the target group with relevant content. Social media and newsletter marketing now deliver interesting content and also fit authentically into Gradwohl’s brand identity.
